"Lent is a new beginning and victory," Pope Francis.

As mentioned last week, our Year Three and Five students will spend each day this week, starting Wednesday, completing the NAPLAN tests until they are completed the following week.

All parents and students receiving a Sacrament are encouraged to attend the Sacramental meeting led by Father Philip, Thursday the 12th of March at 3.15pm.

As stated in the calendar, St Mary’s will be visited by a group of Medical Students (Teddy Bears Hospital) on Thursday the 12th of March. This is a wonderful Incursion for our Kindy and PP classes which introduces our students…

Don’t forget Monday the 16th of March the School will be closed to students for a Staff Professional Development day.

Our Faction Swimming Carnival is coming up on Wednesday the 18th of March. The P&F has kindly offered to organise a Sausage Sizzle & Juice Box Fundraiser Lunch to keep us all fueled for the day. If you would like to order please see the flyer below for all the details. 

Mrs MacDonald will be attending the Leaders Conference in Perth Monday. I will be attending the Conference Monday and Tuesday.

The Pre-Primary to Year Six students enjoyed the World of Maths Incursion on Tuesday. The World of Maths Incursion involves hands-on activities that engage students, reinforces Maths concepts, encourages teamwork, boosts confidence and, most importantly, sparks an appreciation for learning and applying Maths and is also aligned with STEM.

St Mary's School is part of the "Containers for Change" program. Please see the poster below for all the details. If you require a green bag to collect your cans, these are available from Mrs Riethmuller at the school.
