As we come to the end of a busy and successful term, I have genuinely enjoyed getting to know the students and families of Plattsburg. It has been such a pleasure to meet so many members of our community and to experience firsthand the warmth, pride and strong connections that make our school such a special place. I feel very grateful to be part of this wonderful school community.

As Anzac Day approaches, it is an important time for us to pause and reflect on the courage, sacrifice and service of those who have served our country. It is also a valuable opportunity for our students to learn about remembrance, respect and gratitude, and to understand the importance of these values in our lives today.

Our athletics carnival was another wonderful highlight of the term. It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm, encouragement and team spirit on display throughout the day. Seeing students give their best, cheer each other on and proudly represent their teams was a great reminder of the positive spirit that exists across our school.

I would also like to sincerely congratulate our staff and students on the way they managed our recent evacuation drill. The calm, cooperative and responsible manner shown by everyone was something to be very proud of, and it reflected the strong sense of teamwork and care we value at Plattsburg Public School.

As the term draws to a close, I would like to wish all of our students, staff and families a safe, restful and happy break. Thank you for your continued support and for the many ways you contribute to making Plattsburg Public School such a caring and vibrant place to learn.

Mother’s Day Stall 💐

Our Mother’s Day stall will be held on Wednesday 6th May.

Gifts will be available for $3 or $6. You can pre-purchase gifts now on QuikCliq, and your child will receive a voucher on the day to use at the stall. You will be able to purchase with Cash of Eftpos

Attending school every day and arriving on time sets students up for success. When students are at school consistently, they build strong learning habits, stay connected with their classmates, and don’t miss out on important lessons. Even missing just a day here and there can add up and make it harder to keep up.

Arriving on time is just as important. It helps students start the day calmly, be ready to learn, and take part in all classroom activities from the very beginning. It also builds responsibility and good routines that last a lifetime.

Let’s work together to support our students by making school attendance a priority and ensuring they arrive on time each day. Every day matters, and every minute counts!

We’ve designed our studio space to be welcoming, creative, and comfortable—perfect for students of all ages to feel safe and confident while learning music. We currently offer private lessons in Piano, Guitar, Singing, Bass and Music Theory, soon to be drum lessons in mid Term 2.

Our teaching approach is tailored to each individual student, helping them grow in both skill and self-expression. Whether they’re beginners or more advanced, we strive to create a space where they feel encouraged, understood, and inspired to explore music freely.

We are located in Wallsend and we feel as though our local music school would be a great place for your little ones to learn extracurricular activities.
