What a fantastic start to Term 2! Our students and staff have returned refreshed—perhaps thanks to the incredible weather we've been enjoying! We would also like to welcome new families to our community.
We’ve hit the ground running, with EduDance launching us into an energetic new term.
Next Tuesday, our Year 6 students will be holding their annual Business Fair. This much-loved event is part of a project where students develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then sell their product to fellow students. It’s always a huge success, and watching our young entrepreneurs in action is truly inspiring. A big thank you to Mr O’Mara and Mr Flemming for their guidance and support throughout this journey.
We're also excited in being able to present to our community you to the Resilience Project Parent Webinar on Tuesday evening. This workshop is part of our ongoing commitment to wellbeing across the school, and we look forward to sharing more about this valuable program with you.
We’re thrilled to share that Melinda Cokerill has successfully secured a $3,500 grant through the PALS (Partnerships Acceptance Learning Sharing) program. PALS supports WA schools in developing projects that promote reconciliation and deepen understanding of Aboriginal cultures, histories, and achievements.
Thanks to this grant, our students had the opportunity to collaborate with Jarni McGuire—a Whadjuk, Ballardong, and Yued Noongar 2D/3D Visual Artist and Designer. Drawing on student input and a focus on our local community, Jarni created a stunning mural on the east wall of the Art Block. This piece tells the story of our school community and is a wonderful symbol of unity and shared history. We warmly encourage you to stop by and take a look at this incredible artwork.
Lastly, Kindergarten enrolments for 2026 are now open! Full details are available on our school webpage. We understand that some families new to the community may be unfamiliar with the Kindy enrolment process, so if you know anyone who might benefit from this information, please pass it on. Additional details can also be found on the Department of Education's website.
