BRUSH WORKS
“Brush Works” is only one week away! This is our whole school celebration. The students have been working very hard on class artworks. You will be amazed, impressed and proud when you see the pieces that have been created. The event starts at 6pm on Wednesday 29 November.
Throughout the 2 hours there will be opportunities to view the gallery of art, enjoy the student performances around the grounds of the school and enjoy a picnic dinner with family and friends. We are also holding the 2D Art competition, open to all, from preschoolers to the wider community. (see flyer attached) The due date for entries has been extended to Friday 24 November. Jill Oliver, our talented local artist will be judging the entries from each of the categories.
The large class artworks will be auctioned off at the end of the night. We may have a bidding war, as they are sensational pieces. Students are allowed to wear casual clothing. Some students have specific clothing they need, depending on their performance item. Teachers will advise these students. A copy of the information note that went home last week is below.
We are very excited to finish the year on a fun night, celebrating imagination, creativity and the talent of our students and staff. We look forward to seeing all our Wingham Brush families.
ATTENDANCE
There are still 4 weeks of learning left and it is really important for students to come to school every single day.
We understand that families are eager to see and reconnect with loved ones and take a well-deserved break, but please remember that planned travel should only be taken during scheduled school holidays.
Students should be at school every day during school terms, including until the end of term, unless they are sick or are absent for a justified reason.
"Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do." - Pele
