Help Keep Our School Zones Safe!

To help keep children safe and ensure smooth traffic flow around schools, please follow these important parking regulations:

  • No Parking Within 20 Metres Before and 10 Metres After a School Crossing Unless otherwise signed, it is illegal to park within 20 metres before and 10 metres after a designated school crossing.
  • No Stopping Zones You must not stop in a No Stopping zone — not even briefly to pick up or drop off passengers.
  • Park in the Right Direction

Always park your vehicle facing the direction of traffic. Parking the wrong way disrupts traffic flow and increases the risk of accidents.

  • No Parking on Nature Strips or Footpaths

Parking on nature strips or footpaths is not only illegal, but it can also damage public property, block access for pedestrians, and create dangerous obstacles for students walking to and from school.

These regulations are vital for maintaining visibility, ensuring smooth traffic movement, and keeping pedestrians safe.

Local Laws Officers will be monitoring school areas during busy drop-off and pick-up times to help ensure compliance and support students safety.

Hats - Term 4

Term 4 hats are to be worn. If you need to purchase a hat, head to the Spartan School World website & place your order. www.spartanschoolworld.com.au

Hay fever

If your child has hay fever which generally requires medication, we ask that this is administered in the morning before school.

All medication required during the day at school must be handed to the front office.

Any changes to your afternoon bus travel arrangements are to be made by 2pm for the day of travel. This can be made via the Audiri App by selecting Resources, Forms, then Bus Travel or calling the front office on 5775 2325 & follow the prompts.

Year 6 Musical - Worst Band in the Universe

What a wonderful, marvellous, amazing evening musical our Year 6 students put on last night!  So proud of how their evening ran.  After a slower and longer than usual dress rehearsal afternoon, they managed to tighten up their transitions, work as a cohesive team and wow their parents and friends audience.  Super proud teacher.  I just LOVE writing musicals for our students that help their little fun quirks and talents to shine. Many lovely memories made in this one.

Some thank you notes for our Worst Band in the Universe 2025 show.

- year 6 teachers team rocked…all.day.long.  Make up, food prep, cleaning, supervising, script prompting, backstage.  They did it all. Thanks Hannah, Paula, Madi, Millie and Andrea.

- ES, Chloe, Courtney and Bec.  You supported our students beautifully…and each of you got a little stage time too! Jarra was fabulous on stage with your support and some extra students. Chloe’s face painting and acro skills were en point amazing!

- classroom teachers, specialists and students who attending our extra long dress rehearsal.  Sorry it went much longer than usual, but the audience did a great job, we hope you liked it.

- Geoff, Kevin, Jen…. Geoff came to cook our whole BBQ all arvo! Kevin and Jen drove and packed or unpacked our trailer. Thanks heaps.

- leadership and extra staff in the evening… even though they travelled and were away all day, our leaders came in the evening and supported in lots of ways, especially at the pack up, i was home with feet up and dinner at 8:30!

- students…once again, our students…can’t put on such wonderful MPS musical without their hard work, bravery on the day, confidence, talents, leadership.  Shoutouts to Blake, Kane and Errol who did extra roles, the ”Mat crew”, Parker for stepping up all day long for me, Micah for extra music and support of other musos,  Ruby, Madi, Fynn, Ziva for extra speaking roles.

Big bow to you all.

Year 1 Hike

On Friday , all the Year 1 students went to Carters road for our annual hike. We had a lovely time walking through the bush. We heard many birds, saw king parrots, many different kind of mushrooms, some insects and tall trees. We encountered few leeches on our way to Mirrimbah. Our bags felt heavy on the last leg of the trail and we were all very excited to see the playground where we caught the bus back to school.

Thank you to our parent volunteers on the day and Jen Driessen for organising the day.
