From the Principal's Desk...

Our artworks brighten up the days of others | Alice McAuliffe, Curator of Balmain Hospital, (as well as St Vincent's Hospital and St Joseph's Hospital), was excited to pick up new artworks to adorn the hallways of the hospital. We have been bringing smiles to patients since 2022, when COVID restrictions did not allow visits to the wards of the vulnerable. We are honoured to continue our involvement in this truly special relationship, giving to others...

Coffee time...our staff and P&C spend some time, getting to know each other. Thanks for popping in!

Congratulations to the BPS Game Changer Challenge teams! Open to public schools across the state, the Game Changer Challenge centres on discovering solutions for a real-world, wicked problem by applying classroom learning. This year, BPS entered two teams to the challenge and both made it through to the semi-finals! Game Changer Challenge received a record number of more than 400 video submissions and they chose both our teams as part of only 120 teams that will make it to the semi-finals next term. The judging panel of industry experts were very impressed with the enthusiasm and deep understanding shown by the students of the wicked problem. Huge congratulations and good luck to Team Balmain Heroes and Team Street Saviours!

PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING! We're collecting plastic bottle lids for a special project. Please wash and dry instead of recycling. There is a collection box in the foyer, outside the office. Thanks so much for your help!

From the Office

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU INFORM ANY EXTERNAL PROVIDERS, SUCH AS ‘DIRECTIONS IN MUSIC’, OF ACTIVITIES THAT MAY AFFECT YOUR CHILD’S ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION, SUCH AS AN EXCURSION OR EVENT. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

If you wish to email your child's teacher, we kindly request that you DO NOT EMAIL their personal emails, as time-sensitive and/or important messages may not be seen and/or responded to on time. ***COMPASS IS OUR MAIN FORM OF COMMUNICATING WITH YOU***In case of urgent/important communication, notifications via the Compass app on your phone will keep you informed***

To ensure you receive all communication via Compass, please have the app downloaded on your phone, with the notifications turned ON.

Although the school pushes out notifications via the app and email, there may be times when an important message may be missed as emails may sometimes not be checked regularly.

If there were to be an emergency, (hopefully not), information would be pushed out via Compass.

Payments online

All online payments are now made using COMPASS.

Dropping something off?
