Message from the Principal

A very warm welcome in Week 2 to all our families, especially those joining Lae International School for the first time. We are delighted to have you as part of our community and look forward to working together to ensure your children thrive.

Our recent successes and developments have led to a significant increase in enrolments for 2026. This growth reflects the confidence families place in our school and reinforces our catch cry for the year: “Success Starts Here.”

To stay connected, we encourage all parents to download the Audiri School App. This is the best way to access updates, notices, and important information. If you need assistance, please see the office staff who will be happy to help.

A reminder that Term 1 school fees are due next week, Friday. We appreciate your timely attention to this matter.

Upcoming events:

  • Lae School Association Annual General Meeting – Tuesday, 17th February at 5.30pm in the Secondary School Hall.
  • Parent Welcome Meetings – Secondary: Wednesday, 4th February at 5.30pm in the library; Primary: Tuesday, 4th February at 5.30pm in the Primary Hall. We strongly encourage all parents to attend.
  • Parents & Friends (P&F) Meeting – Thursday, 5th February at 8am in the library. At this meeting, we will form a new executive and plan events for 2026. We look forward to seeing many new faces supporting this important initiative.

Thank you for your continued support. Together, we will ensure that at Lae International School, Success Starts Here!

Deputy Principal's Notices

We’d like to give a big warm welcome to all our families and thank you for helping us start the school year smoothly. It has been wonderful to see students arriving ready to learn and settle into school life.

Our students are adjusting well to the routines and expectations. There’s been lots of positive energy in classrooms and the playground, with students showing kindness, teamwork, and enthusiasm.

Learning is now in full swing across the school. It’s great to see our senior students working hard and setting themselves up for success. They are also showing younger students what high expectations look like, which helps build a strong learning culture for everyone.

Afterschool Activities Registration is opening and we have a wide range of extra-curricular activities available. These activities are more than just fun, they help students build healthy habits, learn new skills, and make positive links to future success. We encourage all families to explore the options and get involved.

We are also excited to invite parents to join the Parents and Friends Association. This is a great way to connect with the school community, share ideas, and help us continue to grow a positive school culture. If you would like more information, please do not hesitate to make contact.

Our school is committed to safety, inclusion, and wellbeing. If you have any concerns about how your son or daughter is settling in, please reach out to their teacher. Working together helps us make sure every child feels supported.

Looking ahead, on 13 February we will welcome the Ukarumpa International School Showband to our primary campus. They will perform for our students and spend the weekend hosted by our boarding team. We look forward to this exciting event.
