TERM 1 WEEK 9 - 24 MARCH

Principal

I am thrilled to announce that this week we will be hosting our highly anticipated school tours for prospective students and their families. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase the incredible programs and initiatives that make our school a vibrant and nurturing environment. We take immense pride in the achievements of our students and the dedication of our staff, and we can’t wait to share our journey with you!

During the tours, families will have the chance to explore our classrooms, meet our passionate educators, and learn about the diverse range of opportunities available to our students. We believe that education is not just about academics; it's about fostering a sense of community, creativity, and a love for learning. We are excited to demonstrate how our school nurtures these values every day.

In addition to our tours, I want to highlight an exciting event happening this Wednesday: our Year 4 excursion to the Botanic Gardens! This excursion will provide our students with a hands-on learning experience in nature, allowing them to explore the beauty of our environment while connecting their studies to real-world contexts. We are confident that this experience will enhance their appreciation for biodiversity and the importance of conservation.

Last week, I had the privilege of attending the Regional South Principals Summit, where we engaged in meaningful discussions about the joy of education in our schools. It was inspiring to hear how we, as educational leaders, can effectively meet the diverse needs of all students. The exchange of ideas reinforced our commitment to creating an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported.

As well as our commitment to student wellbeing, I would like to highlight the ongoing professional learning our staff participates in. Last week, our focus had been on wellbeing, reading fluency, and ensuring a strong sense of belonging for all students. We understand that when students feel a sense of belonging and are well-supported, they thrive academically and socially. Our educators are dedicated to advocating for every student, and the professional learning opportunities we provide ensure they are equipped with the latest strategies to foster student success.

We are looking forward to welcoming prospective students and their families during our tours this week. Together, let’s celebrate the wonderful things happening at our school and the positive impact we have on our students’ lives. Thank you for being an essential part of our school community!
