Dear Parents and Guardians,
What an incredible term we’ve had at St Mary’s Catholic School! From the excitement of Book Week and Science Week to the impressive performances in Public Speaking and the Interschool Science Competition, our students have truly shone across a wide range of activities. Add to that the energy of Minkey Hockey and the determination shown during Cross-Country, and it’s clear that Term 3 has been both busy and rewarding for everyone involved.
Last night’s school disco was a wonderful way to wrap up the term, with students dancing their hearts out and enjoying the chance to celebrate together. A huge thank you to our amazing Parents & Friends (P&F) team who not only cooked lunch for our students yesterday but also set up and ran the shop at the disco. Your support and generosity make such a difference to our school community, and we are incredibly grateful.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated dads who gave up their time last weekend to install our new signage at the front of the school and along the road behind the car park. Your help has made a big impact, and we truly appreciate your contribution.
We’re excited to share that our school website has now launched with a fresh new design and layout! It’s looking fantastic, and we’ll continue to update it regularly with new information and photos. You’ll also find the calendar for Term 4 on the site—it’s shaping up to be another action-packed term!
In other exciting news, we recently announced that St Mary’s will be offering a 3-Year-Old Kindy program starting next year, running on Mondays. The response so far has been very positive, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity to families in Boyup Brook. We’d love your help in spreading the word—please share this news with friends, neighbours, and anyone in the community who might be interested. You’ll see more advertising for the school in the coming months as we continue to showcase the wonderful programs and opportunities available at St Mary’s.
As we wrap up Term 3, I want to sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to making it such a success. Whether you’ve volunteered your time, cooked for our students, or supported our staff, your efforts are deeply appreciated. To our incredible staff—thank you for going above and beyond every day to make our school a place of learning, growth, and community.
Wishing you all a relaxing and refreshing holiday break. I look forward to welcoming everyone back, ready for another great term of learning, on Monday 13th October.
Kind regards,
Michael Patrick
