Save the Date

Presentation Day will be held on Tuesday 12th December - Time to be confirmed.

Items for Promotion

If you have items to be included in the school newsletter for promotion, such as fundraising activities or events, we will be happy to include in the school newsletter. Please contact Kerry Townsend with all the details and images you wish to be included via email: kerry.townsend@det.nsw.edu.au by Friday afternoon for Monday morning publication. We are trying to avoid separate event promotions after the newsletter has been published to streamline our communications. We understand that there are many individual fundraisers at the moment and it is best if these items are sent directly to the office via Kerry to ensure they get included.

Explaining Absences

For absences, we ask that you explain absences directly in the School Bytes Parent Portal or App.  You do not need to explain absences for your child directly to me unless you have concerns about non-attendance and would like to organise a meeting.

Contacting the Principal

I am always happy to help if a class matter is not resolved, however, class teachers are often best placed to assist you in resolving problems or addressing concerns within the classroom.

If you need to contact me, the best way to reach me is via email: jennifer.arnott3@det.nsw.edu.au as I monitor my emails regularly. If your matter is urgent please call the school office on 02 4465 1182 during school hours 8:30am-3:30pm.

At times, it can be difficult to monitor all the different methods of communication throughout the school day so in order to streamline making contact with me, I will no longer be using Class Dojo Messaging (unless related to a K/1 student for classroom use), Facebook Messenger, the School Facebook Page or Text messaging for school related queries. I understand some questions or requests may require a response out of hours or on the weekend and I'll do my best to get back to you as soon as I can via email rather than trying to juggle the many platforms I have used in the past as this can lead to missing an important message that requires a response. Thank you for your understanding.

Have a great week!

P&C Report

P&C Meeting

Our final P&C Meeting for the year will be held on Friday 1st December at 8am in the school library.

Final Day of Canteen - Wednesday 8th November

We were recently advised of changes to the Food Safety Standards which now require a certified Food Safety Supervisor present for canteen days. Given that we have no one who is currently trained or willing to undergo the training required for this certification, we will sadly have to close our canteen.

If anyone holding this certification or is willing to obtain it, is interested in taking over the canteen supervisor role we would love to hear from you! Please email kvps.pandc@gmail.com.

The final day for the canteen will be this Wednesday 8th November. We will aim to use up the food we have left so please provide a second choice on your child's lunch order in case we run out of that option.

Get your Colour on, Kangaroo Valley PS is hosting a Colour Explosion Fun Run!

Kangaroo Valley PS is hosting a Colour Explosion Fun Run on Friday 15th December, the last day of term! We are fundraising for two essential projects at our wonderful school:
