Year 8 National Exams

Next week, our year 8 students will sit their National Exams. They have been working hard to prepare for these important exams. We wish them all the very best in the week ahead. Year 8 students will go home at the end of each exam and have the day off on Friday. The school will provide a lunch at the end of Thursday's final exam. Thank you to all the teachers and STM staff who have helped prepare the students.

Under 8's Activity Morning

Thanks to our parents and carers who attended our Under 8's Activity Morning that was on Wednesday morning. The students had a great time participating in the various activities. Thanks to our Early Years teachers for their organisation and to our Year 9 students for assisting on the day.

PAT Tests

Over the next three weeks, students from Prep – year 9 will be completing online ‘PAT’ tests in English and Mathematics. PAT stands for Progressive Achievement Tests.

These tests are conducted in many schools in Australia as well as international schools and are used to track both individual student and year level learning progress. These tests are not used for student reporting but give teachers evidenced-based data about a student’s learning at a given point of time. Staff analyse data from these tests in order to identify future learning needs.

These tests are facilitated through the ACER (Australian Council for Educational Research) website  - www.acer.org/au/pat/progressive-achievement.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact either myself or your child’s teacher.

Friday Assemblies

Parents and friends are welcome to attend our Friday assemblies that commence at 8.10am on the basketball court. This week was the year 3/4 assembly and next week it will be the year 1/2 class.
