Year 2/3 Reading at Mass

A special thank you to the Year 2/3 students and Miss Ariti for reading at last Sunday's Mass.

It was lovely to have you join us at church and share in the celebration. Your presence and participation was greatly appreciated by the parish community.

Netball Carnival

Congratulations to our eleven students who travelled to Perth on Wednesday to represent St Mary’s in Perth at the SSWA Champions Cup. Our team had some great wins and a few very close games where they only lost by one goal!! Unfortunately the cup had to be cancelled early due to lightening, but luckily most games had been played by then.  Thank you to Estelle Madaffari for coaching, Maureen Wilson for managing and Jade Healey-Ratima for umpiring.

Assembly

Congratulations to the Pre-primary class, Miss Downsborough and Mrs Cooper on their fantastic assembly presentation this morning! They might be small in number but they certainly made up for it in talent.

The students shared a thoughtful and engaging item titled “It’s Okay to Make Mistakes”—a powerful reminder for us all that mistakes are part of learning and growing.

Following their assembly performance, the Pre-primary students visited the Senior Centre, where they performed their item and spent time interacting with the residents.

Catholic Leave Day

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our annual Catholic Leave Day. The school will be closed. School will resume on Monday the 25th of August. Enjoy your long weekend!!

Book Week 2025

We’re excited to celebrate Book Week next Wednesday, 27 August.

This year’s theme, “Book an Adventure!”, encourages children to see reading as a gateway to exploration and discovery—celebrating the idea that every book opens a door to a new adventure.

All students from Kindy to Year 6 are invited to come dressed as their favourite storybook character. We’ll start the day with a parade at 8:50am, followed by a range of multi-aged activities designed to spark imagination and a love of reading.

Jumps Day

The Faction Long Jump event will be help on Thursday, 28 August for students in Pre-primary to Year 6. Please refer to the Audiri note from Mrs Crees, sent on Wednesday, for further information regarding the event.

Holy Communion

The sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated on the 14th of September, please keep these students in your prayers as they prepare for the sacrament, Ava Webb, Sage O’Malley and Sienna Anderson.

School Review

The maintenance of the school is impeccable, with learning spaces, play areas, facilities, and resources managed to foster education and wellbeing.

Enjoy your long weekend!!

Today the Pre-Primary Class visited the Senior Centre to present their assembly item to our lovely senior members.
