We take immense pride in the diverse array of opportunities we offer to our students. Last week, our year 6 students organised an extraordinary Business Fair. It was truly remarkable to witness them engage in every aspect of establishing a business and presenting their products in such an impressive manner. This event served as a clear demonstration of the exceptional abilities of our young learners.
Yesterday, we also had the pleasure of experiencing "Sculptures by the School," providing yet another remarkable opportunity for students to display their creative and critical thinking skills to the entire school community.
Congratulations to all the students involved and we express our gratitude to the teaching team for facilitating these enriching experiences.
National Walk to School Day is next Friday 10 May. This event provides an opportunity for parents to support our ongoing promotion to families and children of the significant physical, mental and social health benefits that can be achieved through regular walking. We hope families take this opportunity to walk to school next Friday.
We continue to experience extremely unsafe driving and parking practices around our school. Even with the encouragement and support from the school, board, P & C and many parents in promoting changing attitudes, we unfortunately continue to see driving and parking behaviours that put our children and community at risk. The P & C, Board and School are currently engaged in initiating school-wide educational guidelines for road safety around our school with a focus on supporting changing attitudes and improving driver behaviour. We will soon be asking for volunteers from all areas of the school to form part of this committee. The school has also engaged the Police and Stirling Council for support.
As a collective community at CPS, we support and uphold the Departments values;
‘We all share a responsibility for providing a safe, supportive and productive environment, free from bullying, harassment, discrimination and violence. Parents and carers and other visitors to schools’ support safety by ensuring communication and conduct at school and school activities is respectful. Every student, staff member, parent or carer has the right to feel safe and be safe at our school. Connect and Respect Expectations
We encourage our parents to be respectful of all parties when speaking with others ensuring communications are positive and factual in content. If at any time a parent wishes to raise a concern, we encourage you to please follow the CPS Talking to My School Guidelines and Raising a Concern policy.
