Principal's Message
Our staff and students have returned for the start of Term 4 with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. We have another busy term ahead of us with lots of learning, assessment and report writing and preparation for end of year activities, just to name a few.
World Teacher’s Day
I am incredibly proud to lead a school that has so many inspired and passionate teachers who make a difference to the lives of young people every day.
This Friday, we celebrate World Teacher’s Day which gives us the opportunity to acknowledge and say thank you to our teaching staff for making our school such a positive and exciting place to work and learn. Thank you for going above and beyond for our students, for the unpaid overnight camps, the late nights preparing quality lessons and the compassion and care you provide for our students each and every day.
Change to Fortnightly School Newsletters
Following the introduction of the School Bytes Parent Portal, parents and carers can keep up to date with what’s happening at school with easy access to the Events Calendar, permission notes and much more.
We have reviewed the content we share with you via our School Newsletter and will be making some changes and have made the decision to publish the Newsletter fortnightly at 3:30 pm Friday afternoon. We hope this gives families more time to enjoy our Newsletter, our next Newsletter will be published this Friday 26 October at 3:30 pm.
If there is anything you would like to see included on a regular basis, please feel free to send us your feedback. The easiest way to do this is to send us an email to Lambton-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au
Friday Fun Run
And last of all I’d like so say a huge thank you to our school community for the support shown to our school canteen by way of donations and supporting of our Fun Run event. Due to the unpredicable weather we had a dance a thon where students danced for 30 minutes non stop to songs including the Macarena, Nutbush and the Birdie Dance. It was exhausting but we did it and raised $4600 along the way, showing our community support for our P&C canteen and our regular workers, Deb and Barb.
We had so much fun in our costumes and our colourful P&C helpers really lifted the fun with bubble machines. Thanks to the P&C all students were rewarded with an ice block at the end of our dance a thon. Thank you to Jaime, her committee and Mr Semmens for their organisation and to all the families who supported this event. What an amazing and supportive school community we have at LPS!!! Well done everyone.
