Grow Your Mind

For those families who are new to the school and a refresher for the families who have continued on. Grow Your Mind awareness is an important whole school approach to student wellbeing.

We will be introducing an animal each fortnight that your child is learning about in class.

This week is the GUARD DOG who helps keep you safe, but you need to know how to shrink him if he becomes too protective!

Celebrating Awabakal Culture: Keepers of the Lake Macquarie Region

We acknowledge the Awabakal people, Traditional Custodians of the land around Swansea, Caves Beach, and Lake Macquarie. Their strong connection to the land and water spans thousands of years, with rich stories, language, and cultural practices that continue today.

Our school is proud to learn from Awabakal Elders and community members to better understand their history, language, and traditions. This knowledge helps us respect and care for the land we share.

We encourage students and families to explore local Awabakal heritage through community events, cultural workshops, and NAIDOC Week activities.
