Principal's Message - Kim Fraser

A very warm welcome back to all of our returning families, and a big welcome to the many new families who have joined our CPS community! We’ve had such a wonderful start to the year, and it’s been fantastic to see the students ease back into the school groove so seamlessly. Even the Year 3–6 students tackled swimming lessons right from the get-go!

We’d also like to extend a special welcome to some new staff members who have joined our team:

  • Mr. Burke in Year 4
  • Ms. Townsend in Year 2
  • Ms. Pradera in Year 1
  • Ms. Steele (EA)
  • Ms. Heather Rhebok - Our new Wellbeing Officer

I’m confident that our warm and welcoming community will make them feel right at home. 😊

Communication is Key at CPS, we are committed to keeping families informed and connected. We’ve broken communication into three main areas to ensure that everyone is in the loop:

  • Seesaw – For class updates and communications from teachers.
  • Audiri – For operational information like excursion notes, reminders, and urgent updates.
  • Newsletter – To celebrate achievements and keep you informed about all the exciting happenings around school!
  • We’re also working on a brand-new website that will be up and running in just a few weeks. It will be a hub for all sorts of important information, including newsletters, calendars, and P&C/Board details, so be sure to check it out once it's live! Please make sure you have installed both the Audiri app and joined your child's class Seesaw.

Class Communication is key… Teachers will continue to provide weekly general overviews of what’s happening in your child’s class. This is a great way for you to stay in the loop and communicate directly with the teacher. While teachers are always available to reach out if there are concerns or celebrations to share, we encourage parents to feel comfortable getting in touch with the teacher at any time if you'd like to discuss anything regarding your child. With larger class sizes, it's not always feasible for teachers to contact every parent weekly, but rest assured their line of communication is always open.

Exciting Events Ahead Our amazing P&C have already kicked things off and are organizing the annual, extremely popular Welcome Picnic for all CPS families. It’s such a fantastic event, especially for new families to meet one another and get to know others in our community. So, keep Sunday 16th Feb free from 2.30 - 5.30 at CPS.

Once again, a very warm welcome back to everyone. Here’s to another exciting, successful year ahead!
