Principal's Message

Dear Families,

How good is Spring!? Snow on the mountains earlier in the week and today the Preps have a perfect day for their School to Summit Hike.

I went to see the Castle II last night.  It was a great show and fantastic to see a bunch of our students on stage.

Congratulations to all 35 students who competed at Regional Athletics in Albury last week.  We have Cooper Hoebergen, Olga Schierholter, Zali Hopkins and Franzi Stumpf all representing Mansfield Primary School at State Athletics later in the term.

Smart Watches

Students who have a smart watch that has a capacity for calls and texts must have it in ‘school mode’ whilst they are at school.  These watches fall under our Mobile Phone policy.  If it is not possible to engage school mode, students will need to check in their watch at the front office at school and collect it at the end of the school day.  Students sending and receiving phone calls and text messages during school time is very challenging for our teaching staff.

Please see FAQ sheet from the Department of Education and Training attached for further information.

Staffing

Congratulations to Robyn Robinson, who will be Acting Assistant Principal in 2024.  Robbie has been a fantastic leader within our staff, particularly over the past few years in her Learning Specialist role.  She will be a great Assistant Principal.

Like always, please get in touch with us with any questions or concerns.  Call or email your classroom teacher, call the front office or email me tom.macmunn@education.vic.gov.au.

Have a great weekend.

Take Care,

Tom

Division Athletics

It was a bright and early start for 52 Mansfield Primary School students who travelled to Epping to compete in the Division Athletics, on Monday 8th October. Competing against students from 23 other schools across the district Mansfield students proved to be highly competitive across all events, with many ribbons being won. A highlight of the day came when our relay teams took to the track, finishing first in five of the six races. After a fantastic day competing and having fun 35 students made it through to the Regionals.
