St Mary's Bulletin

Term 2 - Week 3 (8th, May 2026)

Mother's Day

I’d like to wish all our Mothers’ a very Happy Mother’s Day for Sunday. It was wonderful to see so many Mums and Grandmothers at our Mother’s Day Mass this morning. Once again, thank you to Mrs Mac for organising the Mass and our amazing staff who contributed baked items for the event.

Special thanks to Mrs Silver and the Liturgical dance group who had their first performance at Mass this morning.

Parent/Student Confirmation Meeting

A reminder our Confirmation meeting is next Thursday at 3.15pm.

P&F

Our P&F held their first meeting for the term on Monday evening. The P&F continues to provide incredible support to our students. Currently, they are generously providing breakfast for our Cross Country training sessions on Thursday mornings before school.

It has been wonderful to see so many students and parents enjoying the new, extremely comfortable outdoor tables purchased by the P&F. A special mention must also be made of the sold-out Mother’s Day raffle held this morning.

All funds raised by the P&F go directly towards enriching the lives of our students.

Church/School Carpark

We would like to make special mention of the support and guidance provided by the Shire of Merredin in the resurfacing of the car park. Work is about to commence, which will be very welcome news, as the surface has deteriorated significantly—our cars will certainly appreciate the upgrade!

Community Notices

Win Big. Give Back. Help Build Westonia’s Playground.

Westonia is a small town based in the heart of the wheatbelt, built on mining, young and old farming families and people from all walks of life. This little country town is full of community spirit. In recent years, we have seen a big growth in young children and babies in our shire. Whether they've grown up here or are new to our town, we want to do our best to support them. One way we can do that is by providing a safe area for them to come together with friends and family to play, grow and learn.

We’re holding this fundraiser to help raise funds and support our vision of a brand-new playground that will help our children thrive. For just $100 you could be in the chance to win a brand new 2026 Hilux SR as first prize and a brand new 2026 Polaris Ranger 1000 Premium as second prize.
