Happy Easter

I would like to wish every member of the St Mary’s community a very happy Easter. If you are off on holidays somewhere special, I wish you safe travels and that you make some wonderful family memories.

Beringa Visit

On Monday Mrs Silver took the Performing Arts students to Beringa to perform a liturgical movement. The Choir and Piano group joined them in performing. Special thanks to Mrs Silver for her amazing work in this space.

P&F

Thank you to the parents that joined us in person and online Monday evening. The P&F have many more wonderful events in the planning and plenty of exciting new additions to enhance the lives of our children in the pipeline. Thank you all for your continued support in this area.

Senior Centre Visit

The Year 4/5 class visited the Senior Centre today and performed their Assembly Item (The Cup Song and the Boom Song) and interacted with the Seniors, playing a selection of card games, board games and colouring in. It was a lovely opportunity to connect with the community and share what they’ve been working on.

Assembly

Congratulations to Miss Sutherland Scott and the Year 4/5 class for their entertaining assembly this morning. Well done to the Merit Award winners and thank you to all who attended.

Project Compassion Fundraiser

Thank you to everyone returned their Project Compassion money boxes. We were able to raise $423.00 for Project Compassion, which is Caritas Australia's Lenten Appeal that raises funds to support vulnerable communities worldwide, focusing on ending poverty, promoting justice, and upholding dignity. It empowers communities by providing clean water, education, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities through long-term development programs.

Easter Fun at St Mary's

It's been a week of Easter fun at St Mary's. It all started on Monday with the Pre-Kindy class. The morning was filled with plenty of Easter activities, including Bunny Hops, an Egg and Spoon race, Easter Eggs sorting activities and paining bunnies.

Yesterday, to review their maths skills, the Year 2/3 and Year 4/5 classes took part in a fun Easter egg hunt around the school. Students worked to solve maths questions hidden in different locations, combining problem-solving with a bit of adventure.

Students had a blast while revising this term’s maths in a fun and engaging way!

Finally to end the week, the Kindy class went on an Easter hunt to find the Easter Bunny. They looked especially cute in their bunny ears!! Much to their delight while they were off searching, the Easter Bunny delivered eggs to their classroom!! Their day was topped off with lots of fun Easter crafts!
