Long Run and Ball Games Carnival

Congratulations to all students for their participation in our annual Long Run and Ball games Carnival. All students participated to the best of their abilities in both the long run and ball games and demonstrated great sportsmanship. A big thank you to Miss Judith for her organisation of the carnival and all teachers for their support in their various roles throughout the day. Finally, a big thank you to the parents who came along to support our students.

P&W Disco

A big thank you to the P&W for organising the Christmas Disco on Friday. This was a really fun event to finish the week, and all students had a great time. Thank you to the P&W for your continued support of our school.

Year 10 Graduation

Next Monday, 18 November, our year 10 class, accompanied by their parents, guardians and teachers, will have their graduation dinner. This is a time for them to celebrate and recognise their time at LIS. We will farewell our wonderful year 10s as a school community at the Awards Night on Wednesday, 4 December.

Kindy Graduation

Next Tuesday, our Kindy families will gather for the Kindy Graduation. We look forward to congratulating our Kindy students on this milestone and also welcoming them as part of the 'big school' as Prep students in 2025.

Library Books Return

There will be no more library book borrowing from the beginning of Week 8. Students are requested to return all borrowed books to the library.

Ms Savitas needs to audit all resources and have them on the shelves ready for borrowing next year.

School Resources Return

During the course of the year, some students have borrowed resources, such as dictionaries and calculators, to use at home for their homework activities.

These must now be returned to the school for student use next year.

We also request that all home readers to be returned to classrooms by the end of Week 8.

Awards Night

In the last week of this term, on Wednesday the 4 December, the school will host its Awards Night. The evening will consist of various awards for each class and feature class concert items. Further information regarding the Awards Night will be disseminated in coming weeks.

School for term 4 will finish on Thursday the 5 December.

Please make an appointment to see the principal if you have any concerns or queries.

Regards,

Mr Kevin Collins

At LIS - Wellbeing Matters!

The Australian Student Wellbeing Framework supports schools to provide every student with the strongest foundation possible for them to reach their aspirations in learning and in life.

The vision of the Framework is that schools are learning communities that promote student wellbeing, safety and positive relationships so that students can reach their full potential.

The Framework is based on evidence that demonstrates the strong association between safety, wellbeing and learning.

Thank you to Ms. Saua, Ms. Savitas and the year 1/2 class for your great music assembly.
