Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Swimming Carnivals
Thanks to all the parents and carers who supported at both our junior and senior annual swimming carnivals. The students' enthusiasm and participation was great to see. Thanks to Miss Judith for organising the swimming carnivals as well as her hard work in PE and her after-school swimming program. She is to be congratulated for the great improvement in our students' swimming skills as seen throughout both carnivals.
Independence Day
Next week, the school will celebrate PNG's 49th Independence Day. The teachers have put together an exciting program that will be full of colour and celebrations - see more info in this toksave.
IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND THE BUNG KAIKAI ON THURSDAY, 12th SEPTEMBER, BEGINNING AT 11.00AM AT THE SCHOOL.
Holiday Exam Prep Program
The countdown is on towards National Exams for both our Year 10 and Year 8 students. We acknowledge the work that both students and teachers are putting in to prepare for the exams.
Ms Yip will send home a letter outlining the timetable for holiday exam prep sessions. Students will continue their regular Saturday sessions from 8.30am-10.30am this Saturday (tomorrow) and over the holiday period at the STM Campus with STM teachers.
During the second week of the holidays, from Tuesday 24th to Saturday 28th September, there will be exam prep sessions at LIS from 8:30 – 9:30am for year 8 and from 8:30am – 12:30pm for year 10. It is very important the students attend and are on time for these classes.
