Earlier in the year our  students in Years 4-6 and all parents were invited to take part in the Tell Them From Me Survey. The results from this survey were:

Strengths From Students

  • Students feel classroom instruction is well-organised, with a clear purpose, and with immediate feedback that helps them learn.
  • School staff emphasise academic skills and hold high expectations for all students to succeed.
  • My school helps me to apply the teachings of Jesus in my life.

Challenges From Students

  • Completing homework for their classes with a positive attitude and in a timely manner.
  • Students trying hard to succeed in learning.

Strengths From Parents

  • I feel welcome when I visit the school.
  • Encouraging my child to do well at school.
  • My child is clear about the rules for school behaviour.

Challenges From Parents

  • Activities are scheduled at times when parents can attend.
  • Parents are informed about my child's social and emotional development.

Year 4 Roald Dahl

On Wednesday the 13th of September Year 4 had Roald Dahl day. We started the day learning about who Roald Dahl was and his cool experience being an air pilot and how that inspired some of his books. Did you know he started off writing books only for adults? Year 4 had loads of fun completing activities such as word searches, kahoots, outdoor activities, BFG and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory character descriptions and Dream jar designs.

At the end of the day year 4 watched Roald Dahl's famous movie Matilda. Year 4 had so much fun on this day and found a whole new appreciation for Roald Dahl. - Lucinda Fallins
